The train station of Vyroneia was built in 1872, and since then it has experienced many historical moments. In the final phase of the Second Balkan War, the station was a base for the Greek Command Post. Indeed, here, under the shade of the plane trees, then King Constantine and Eleftherios Venizelos signed the armistice that led to the Treaty of Bucharest and the end of the war. The station was in full operation until 2000, but now it does not function as a station, but as a caf? and ouzeri.
