Located just above the village, the verdant Valley of Petritsi, also known as the Valley of Lontza, is the hallmark of the village. The Soultanitsa Stream, which originates on the slopes of Mount Beles and pours into the Strymonas River, crosses through the valley. The stream has created a landscape of unique beauty, and the municipality has taken advantage of this environment by building small bridges, trails and footpaths. Along the stream, tall trees provide foliage for shade, and several restaurants and tavernas offer tables under trees and beside the running water. The road that crosses the valley leads to Fort Istimpei and the peak of Mount Beles.
