Stone Tower

The stone Byzantine tower that dominates the center of the village is the hallmark of Agistro. It is said that it was used as a prison and place of execution in the past. Indeed, even today one can see stone projections at its four corners from which gallows were erected for the executions. Today the tower is used as a clock.
