One of the most beautiful villages in Serres, Chrysochorafa (or Hrisohorafa) is located on the eastern side of Lake Kerkini, 500 meters from the shore. Its 1300 residents are engaged in farming, fishing, and breeding buffaloes. The village has a guest house, restaurants, and pastry shops, and it is well known for its good food.
