In the Lousikoi region, between the ancient towns of Kleitor and Cynaetha, there was an important town of antiquity, Lousoi, known since 708 BC and the Olympic champion Euryvatos. Today, many findings of the ancient town have been excavated in the Lussoi plain,the most important the temple of Artemis Hemerasias (on the left of our road coming up to Lousikoi). Fenced in findings have been excavated here in the plain on private land.
