Saint Varvara

The central church of Rogoi, Saint Varvara, was built in 1927. On this spot beside the memorial, the German occupying force executed residents of the village on the 8th Devember 1943. Sixty six patriots were executed and only five managed to flee. The German forces burned the Church of Saint Varvara and all the houses. The church was rebuilt in 1951 with the financial support of the Achaea, Ilia and Olympia schools.
