A very lovely, demanding walking excursion to Agridi, is the ascent to the inaccessible (as it appears from a distance) Agios Athanasios Peak with its homonymous little church. The footpath starts at Alonia, after the newly built little Church of Saint Kostadinos and is rather demanding . It is important not to lose the footpath (that moves parallel with the gorge-descent, and to the right as we go up until the first pass). The total ascent up to the peak from the start at St. Kostadinos is with a 500 metres difference in altitude and the time needed is 90-120min. The result, however, will reward us with a wonderful view that we can enjoy from 1,340m towards the different peaks and offshoots of Erymanthos. Opposite us (SE) and above Sopoto, Tartaris stands out (1,420m altitude).
