A very lovely, demanding walking excursion to Agridi, is the ascent to the inaccessible (as it appears from a distance) Agios Athanasios Peak with its homonymous little church. The footpath starts at Alonia, after the newly built little Church of Saint Kostadinos and is rather demanding. It is important not to lose the footpath (that moves parallel with the gorge-descent, and to the right as we go up until the first pass). The total ascent up to the peak from the start at St. Kostadinos is with a 500 metres difference in altitude and the time needed is 90-120min. The result, however, will reward us with a wonderful view that we can enjoy from 1,340m towards the different peaks and offshoots of Erymanthos. Opposite us (SE) and above Sopoto, Tartaris stands out (1,420m altitude).
