Entrance to Souvardo

Entering Souvardo, we are welcomed by a hanging wooden sign on the left hand side of the road. It is worthwhile stopping and walking to the left of the sign to the glade, where we can see three stone built ledges. The view from this point (at 1,250m) is very beautiful. Right below, among the fir trees can be seen a large ledge with a stone built fountain in the middle. The pomegranite trees that we can see tell us that the road goes down there from somewhere. Turning back towards Vrachni and going very slowly, looking to the right, we turn onto the first dirt road that we meet (slanting to the right). After a few hundred rough metres we arrive at the watering faucet and the woodland glade that we saw from above.
