Ano (or Upper) Kastania is about 3 kilometers northwest of Kato (Lower) Kastania and 130 meters higher, on a hill. The most important attraction near it is the beautiful cave of Agios Andreas (or Saint Andrew, also called Kastania Cave), 1,600 meters east of the village. It is also worth visiting the old church of Saint Panteleimon (3 kilometers to the northeast).
