Pine Forest

Climbing to Ano Kastania on the road from Faraklo, after we pass the little church of Saint Peter (Agios Petros) on our left, we will see a beautiful young pine forest before us that extends as far as the hill of Profitis Ilias. The forest was created after extensive fires burned all the vegetation in the area (where there was no natural forest before).
