Razelianiko Monastery

The Razelianiki Virgin Mary (Panagia) or Spilaiotissa church was built into a cliff, probably (as a monastery) by the Byzantine Emperor Alexios Komnenos (1081-1118), who embraced the monastic way of life and became a saint and defender of Voitylo. To reach the church, we follow the old main road that goes to Itylo Beach. Just as we leave Itylo, at the point where we see a fallen arch of laurel bushes on our left, a short footpath begins. In 5 minutes, it will take us to the entrance of the little monastery on the rock. The Monastery of Dekoulon is below this church, but it is hard to reach from here, so it is better to go around by the main road to visit it.
