Manalis Winery

Built on a hillside overlooking the sea and next to the traditionally cultivated vineyards, the winery is worth visiting. You can tour the vineyards and winemaking facilities, and there is a café / restaurant. Located 2.5 kilometers from Chora on the road to Episkopi, the Manalis Winery often organizes exhibitions, events and musical evenings. In ancient times the island of Sikinos was overgrown with vines, producing fine wines, and therefore called Oinoi (pronounced ee-no-ee, from the Greek word for wine, oinos). The white Manalis wine is produced in the special stone terraced vineyard of Sikinos, made from the Cycladic grape varieties, Assyrtiko, Aidani and Monemvasia, which produce a wine with fruity aromas and a gently balanced taste.
