The most impressive part of Hora is the Castle (Kastro), which is built on the edge of the sheer cliff that reaches 200 metres. The medieval village was built to protect the residents from raids and attacks. The outer walls of the houses were built right on the cliff. The village of Kastro was lived in continuously throughout the centuries and there are still today many houses and alleyways that maintain a special, traditional character.
