Beautiful traditional village in the middle of the southern part of the island, 4,700 meters from Stavros. In fact, it is two settlements, Ano Messaria and Kato Messaria (Upper and Lower Messaria). Both past their prime today, they flourished in the past, as this was the industrial center of the island with two windmills (upper and lower) and a forge.
