Upper Windmill

The Upper and Lower Windmills of Messaria used to grind migadi (mixture of wheat and barley) to produce flour. The Upper Windmill, or Pano Mylos, of Messaria is located about 250 or 300 meters south of the roadway that heads from Messaria to Mersini. Approximately 500 meters from Messaria, after we have seen the mill on our right, we can stop and approach the ruins of it through the fields. (The windmill is located on private property.) From there, we have a very beautiful view of Livadi Beach on our left below us.
