Mesa Ammos (which means through or within sand) is the main beach of Kalotaritissa. In a protected bay with sand, pebbles, some small rocks, and light turquoise-colored water, it is ideal for families with young children. To the left of the beach, the 400 meter path begins that leads to Kalotaritissa's third beach, Trypiti.
