Beach at the Northern Tip of Kato Koufonisi

A very smooth 1,700 meter hiking trail begins at the Church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) and leads to the northern tip of the island, across from the port of Pano (Upper) Koufonisi. It is worth extending our trip a bit to walk along the coastline and visit eight beautiful, unique beaches on the way to the northern tip of the island. All the beaches are pebbly, except one. This is the beach at the northern tip of Kato Koufonisi (with Pano Koufonisi in the background), perhaps the best of the eight when a northerly wind is not blowing.
