Beach after Panagia (2)

A very smooth 1,700 meter hiking trail begins at the Church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) and leads to the northern tip of the island, across from the port of Pano (Upper) Koufonisi. It is worth extending our trip a bit to walk along the coastline and visit eight beautiful, unique beaches on the way to the northern tip of the island. All the beaches are pebbly, except one. Here we see the most impressive of these beaches, with pebbles and a nearly enclosed little bay, like a small pond with a narrow outlet to the sea. To facilitate the descent to the beach, a small ladder has been placed at the edge of it!
