For a short, beautiful tour of the island (especially on a day with a light meltemi wind that lets you feel the power of the wind and sea), follow the dirt road that heads off to the right in a westerly direction just after the Church of the Taxiarch, continuing for about 700 meters until it ends. The area is called Kavi or Xilobatis, and it forms a small peninsula. Using the only house that is located above the sea as your reference point, walk to the right of the house, and after 300 meters you’ll arrive at a small beach full of rubbish (due to its facing north) at Fardi Limenari. After this, head to the left for 200 meters, and you’ll end up in the little cove of Steno Limenari.
