The very beautiful, sandy Alimnia beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Lesser Cyclades. Sandy, light coloured, crystal clear, shallow water. At the entrance to Alminia cove, at a depth of 9 metres is located a sunken German hydroplane from the Second World War. There are red signs at this point and the wreck is visible from the surface of the sea in good weather. The beach is difficult to access by land. If we try it, we can do so at the end of footpath five (5) at the point with the ruined buildings, following the descent of the gully. To the west of Alimnia beach in the next cove, a small, very lovely, sandy beach is formed that the locals call Alimnitsa. Every day, from Agios Georgios harbour, there are daily excursions to the Alimnia and Karvounolakkos beaches on touristic excursion boats.
