The ending of footpath three (3) will reward us. At the point where the footpath continues as footpath five (5), we follow footpath three (3) going slightly uphill to our left and after 100 metres we arrive at the much desired end of our excursion. To our left stands out the Cave of the cyclop Polyphemus with its a large opening and to our right the steps that end in a small, whitewashed opening that is the entrance to the Cave of Saint Ioannis. The Cave of Polyphemus does not have any great depth and we can see on its rocks stalagmite formations.
