The ruins of a castle of the Hellenistic era (323 - 316 BC) are above Livadi beach. In the area surrounding the castle, there are findings of the Early Cycladic era and archaeological remains that may belong to a temple of Zeus and to the sanctuary of the goddess Tyche. From the castle we can enjoy a panoramic view of Livadi beach and Mourtos cove. We get to the castle relatively easily after a short ascent of 150 metres in 5 minutes. Just after passing Livadi beach and going up towards Panagia village, we start our steep ascent up to the top at the point where we can see the castle to our left . Alternatively, we can proceed further for about 250m and take to our left the path (400m) that goes up northwards, just before the road to the island's rubbish dump.
