The Holy Cathedral of Saint Athanasios (mitropolitikos ieros naos tou Agiou Athanasiou) is located in the center of Ano Chora (or Pano Chora), in Plateia (Square) Agiou Athanasiou. The frescoes in the interior are attributed to the local icon painter Apostolos Grekos, and the 18th century carved wooden icon screen is interesting.
