Melissa
(Melitsina, Maltsina)

A lovely village above the ravine of the River Smynos. Very close to the village, descending to the bank of the river which has been known since ancient times, we can see the architecturally exceptional arched bridge of Stara, which forms the boundary between Outer Mani (Exo Mani) and the Tourkobardounochoria—a group of villages north of Mani or in northern Mani (there is disagreement about which) that were conquered by Turks but also inhabited by Greeks.
