Virgin Mary the Healer

5 kilometers from Kastania, on a 1,000 meter ridge of Taygetos, we can see the Monastery of the Holy Virgin Mary the Healer (Monastiri tis Panagias tis Giatrissas). Its most important holy relic is the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary that is said to have healed many suffering pilgrims.
