A narrow strip of land connects Kotronas with the Skopa peninsula (the sea citadel of ancient Tefthroni). On each side, there is a small, beautiful pebbly beach. In the winter, the sea sometimes covers part of the strip of land, making the peninsula into the island it resembles. On the northwestern side of the right hand beach, there are remains of Roman Thermal Baths. The sea by that beach still has many warm currents today.
