To Spitaki (The Little House)
Two old stone buildings in the heart of Galaxidi house the accommodation options provided by To Spitaki guest house. Constructed with great care and love by the owner, Mrs. Stella Sentouka, these rooms are well cared for, with attention to every detail, and the atmosphere remains traditional, reminiscent of the old houses of the area. The old homestead of Mrs. Stella was renovated and now invites visitors to be enchanted by its atmosphere, unique architecture, and distinctive decor.
The old storeroom at To Spitaki was converted into a spacious apartment (70 square meters) with a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a living room with a fireplace, a dining corner, and a sleeping loft. The thick wooden beams of the ceiling, the built-in couches around the fireplace, and the traditional windows and curtains will relax the guests at To Spitaki.
The main area of the old family home, built in 1850, now houses the "Orofo," which consists of a bedroom, a bathroom, an open plan living room and kitchen, and a large terrace that is ideal for summer evenings and cool afternoons. The wooden floor is highlighted by the white color that dominates the furnishings and fabrics, leading to admiration of the wooden ceilings that are traditional in Galaxidi.
Walking through a large courtyard full of flowers, you will reach the "Xenona," which is located on the ground floor, right next to the garden. The open plan room is ideal for 2 people, with the wood beams on the ceiling, the fireplace, the kitchen, and carefully selected furniture and decorations.
Whichever one of these accommodation choices they select, guests will have the chance to try the breakfast with homemade jams, cookies, and cakes, all handmade by the hospitable hostess, Mrs. Stella.
