Historic Monastery dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, built on the peak of a rock, opposite Lapanagoi, and above the right bank of the River Selinoudas. It was built in 532 AD by General Belisarius (Velisarios in Greek) in penance for the massacre of the Nika Revolt.
