The Hermitage of Papoulakos, of the monk Christophoros Papoulakos who lived an ascetic life here preaching in favour of prayer and the Orthodox Faith, prophesying future tribulations due to the cosmopolitan way of living. It was built in 1830 and is a listed historic monument.
