The sacred Cathedral Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in the central square of Kalavryta. The church was burned in 1826 by Ibrahim Pasha and again on the 13th December 1943 by the German occupying forces, the day of executions. The clock in the bell tower is stuck at this time.
