The little church of the Archangels (Taxiarchis) is in the foothills of Mount Ellanio, below the summit of the Prophet Elias (Profitis Ilias), where the temple of Ellanios Zeus (or Dias, in Greek) was situated. In the Middle Ages, there was a monastery here. There are many findings from the Hellinistic Period in this area.
