The sister of Saint Basil the Great and Saint Gregory of Nyssa, Saint Macrina (Agia or Osia Makrina) the Younger lived in the 4thC AD. We can see the impressive building of her retreat on the left side of the road to Xiropigado after we pass Kiveri, and right after Anavalos Beach.
