At the entrance to magnificent Stemnitsa, literally hanging over the gorge that leads to the Lousios River, the Kolokotronis Mansion Guesthouse was created to offer its guests warm Arcadian hospitality in a setting of unique natural beauty and serenity. Built entirely of local stone and wood, it is in complete harmony with the grandeur of the mountainous Arcadian landscape and the simplicity of the traditional village, while offering a rare view of all of southwestern Arcadia, which is full of interesting attractions, historic sites, activities, and unique landscapes.
Within walking distance of the main square of Stemnitsa, the guesthouse provides a starting point for short walks and tours through the picturesque streets of this lovely village.
The stone guesthouse features 6 spacious, yet cozy rooms, all carefully decorated and furnished with respect for the local tradition and architectural style. Most rooms include a large fireplace and balconies overlooking the gorge or the village. There is a comfortable living room on the ground floor where breakfast is served, with magnificent views through the windows. The large terrace next to the living room is ideal for enjoying breakfast or a morning or afternoon coffee, especially in summer. A small cellar offers an excellent selection of local wines.
