The Monastery of Chryssopigii, abandoned today, was founded 1443 and the 1st Peloponnesian Senate was held here. The Church of Zoodochos Pigi (the catholic of Monastery) has 16th century hagiographs and the carved, wooden altar screen is work from 1805.
