Vervena

A nearly inaccessible historic alpine village, headquarters of the Greek army during the early years of the Revolution. It is worth seeing the church of Saint John the Baptist (Timios Prodromos), the church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia), the Great Fountain (Megali Vrysi), the tower houses, the sculptures of Gavros, and the old school.
