Akrogiali
(Akrogiali, Lagia, East Mani, Piontes )

A small mountain village at 250 meters altitude in East Mani. The old monastery of the Savior (Sotiras) is especially noteworthy. From Piontes we can walk toward the lovely beach of Antrogialos. It is also worth seeing the central church of the village, Saint (Agios) Charalambos, the small churches of Saint Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos), the Blessed Virgin Mary (Panagia Megalochari), Saint Isidore (Agios Isidoros), Saint (Agios) Dimitrios, Saint George (Agios Georgios), Saint Spyridon (Agios Spyridonas), Saint John (Agios Ioannis), and the Monastery of the Savior, as well as the Georgopoulos Tower (Hadou), Limno (one of the rarest natural wetlands of Inner Mani), old houses built with old mortar, the ruins of the tower in Kivouria (toward Kouva Cemetery, Piontes), and Kivouria (old cemetery in the village) next to the Monastery of the Savior.
