Known as both Mykonos and Chora (or Hora), the capital of the island is located in the west. The settlement with the most touristic development on the island, it attracts millions of tourists from around the world, especially during the summer. In spite of its huge number of visitors and busy commercial life, the town retains its traditional character thanks to its white Cycladic architecture, small churches, picturesque winding, cobbled alleys, the unique area known as 'Little Venice,' and the traditional windmills.
