Lachi

Lachi is a community in the Municipal Unit of Voies with its seat in Lachi, it also includes the settlement of Paleokastro. Lachi is a large village 3 kilometers southeast of Neapoli. Built like an amphitheater, it enjoys amazing views of the Lakonian Gulf, Elafonisos, and Kythira. Next to the sea two kilometers southwest, we find the historic settlement of Paleokastro. It is believed that Aeneas built the ancient city of Itis here in 1100 BC. The coastal route to Miniones is very interesting, with many beautiful (and some hidden) sandy beaches along it.
