Elika

Elika is a community in the Municipal Unit of Voies with a seat in Elika, for which it is named. The community consists of the seaside settlements of Limnes and Marathias and, among the olive groves at a higher elevation, Agios Mamas. Elika is the first village in Vatika (Voies) that we encounter when coming from Asopos. It is a large settlement with beautiful views from the upper square (and from the church of Saint Eustratius, or Agios Efstratios higher up)--views of the Lakonian Gulf and the beaches of Panariti, Marathias, and Limnes. Along the coastline that extends from the Tower of Fonias in the northwest to the Koulentianos Tower southeast of Marathias, we will find many beautiful beaches, large and small, popular and solitary, with something to satisfy every preference.
