Dafni

Community of the Municipal District of Paeon consisting of Dafni. Head village of Kalavryta county, once the 3rd largest town in Achaea after Patras and Aegio. The village has been in existence since the 7th century with the Slavic name Strezova, which means many oak trees. South of Dafni flows the abundant in water River Ladonas that ends in the homonymous artificial lake of the hydroelectric dam of the national electricity company. Dafni is the most southern village of Achaea, before crossing over to the Regional District of Arcadia.
