Profitis Ilias

Community of the Municipal District of Kalavryta made up of the villages of Mouriki and Profitis Ilias. The alpine Profitis Ilias (better known in the region as Gerbesi), is the seat of the community and is situated about 11km north of Vlasia. The village is mainly inhabited during the summer as the residents (mainly livestock farmers) spend the winter months on the plain. Mount Profitis Ilias is located west of the village, together with the homonymous little church. Mouriki, together with the small villages of Menychtaiika, Georgaiika and Lompokas, is situated to the north of Vlasia in the valley of the River Selinoudas. The sources of the River Selinoudas are found between Menychtaiika and Georgaiika. There is a lovely landscaped stone built square in Mouriki.
