Seires

The community of Seires belongs to the Municipal District of Aroania and is made up of Agioi Theodoroi, Agios Georgios, Thomaiika, Kryni and Seires villages. The seat of the community is Seires, a lovely mountain village built on the slopes of Ailia in the Versitsiotiki mountain range. It took today's name from the ancient town of Seirai that was situated in the valley below. It stands out for its very beautiful stone built houses, the Church of the Assumption (one of the oldest in the area) and the head spring whose crystal clear water gushes down in a torrent.
