Kamenianoi

Community of the Municipal District of Aroania made up of the villages of Drovolovo and Kamenianoi. The seat of the community is the lovely Kamenianoi that took its name from the many furnaces that the area had. According to legend, just outside the village of Kaprivaina, Hercules caught the wild boar from Erymanthos. We can see the little Church of Zoodochos Pigi at Drovolovo, on the Panagia rock, embedded inside the rock. The region was a stronghold during the Revolution. Palaion Patron Germanos was temporarily held here in 1825, emprisonned by Greeks.
