Community of the Municipal District of Aroania made up of the lovely Anastasi, which until 1953 was known by the Slavonic name of Anastasova. The area belonged to the diocese of the Faneromeni Monastery, Sopoto until 1724 when the historic Holy Monastery of the Saints Theodori was founded (2km north of the village).
