The Municipal District of Kalavryta Municipality made up of Amygdalea, Dafni, Nasia, Paos, Pefko, Skotani and Chovoli. The seat of the Municipal District is Dafni, a large village of the Municipal District of Kalavryta, which at one time was the 3rd largest town of Achaea after Patras and Aigeio. The village has existed since the 7th century with the Slavonic name of Strezova that means many oak trees.
