Sintiki

The Municipality of Sintiki is the largest in the prefecture of Serres. It covers the entire northern part of the prefecture above Lake Kerkini, running along the border with Bulgaria between the Greek prefectures of Kilkis and Drama. Rich in points of interest and natural beauty, the municipality includes Lake Kerkini and the National Park, the hot springs of Sidirokastro and Agistro, and the picturesque villages of Ano Poroia and Kerkini. The biodiversity, the mountains, the rivers, and the picturesque villages make the municipality of Sintiki one of the most important in Macedonia, as well as one of the most touristic. The seat of the municipality is Sidirokastro.
